New MG5 - but don't expect to see it until late 2013
The MG5 has been revealed – a Golf size hatch – and will launch in China this year. The UK and Europe will have to wait until late 2013. The first photos of the new MG 5 fluttered in to our inbox today, and it’s really the first time we’ve reported anything on the next MG from China since this time last year when we had early sketches of the MG5.
A RARE FERRARI has been sold at auction for a record price of £22.84 million. One of just 39 models made and regarded as one of the greatest Ferraris, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta went under the hammer at Bonhams' auction in Carmel, California. A huge crowd watching the bidding broke into applause at the confirmation of the final price, which outdid the previous record for a car sold at auction.
Hyundai Veloster to get new 204bhp Turbo
When Hyundai revealed details of the Veloster Coupe – the successor to the successful Hyundai Coupe – we found lots we liked and, really, just on thing we didn’t – its paucity of power. All the new Veloster had to offer was the 138bhp 1.6 litre GDI petrol which, although quite frugal, didn’t exactly light a fire of desire for the Veloster in the way we would have liked. So when we reported a couple of weeks ago that Hyundai had revealed a couple of new engines in Korea – a 204bhp turbo and a 150bhp diesel – we rather hoped that Hyundai would see fit to bolt both in to the Veloster sooner rather than later.
